Applications that call for precise movement ranging from 10-150mm (1/2-6") typically require a cylinder and a precision guide. The MXS accomplishes this by integrating a cross roller bearing with a guide and two small air cylinders for compact force generation. The MXS is available in six sizes each with set stroke lengths and is standard with auto switch capability. Stroke adjustments are available for extend, retract, or both in ranges of 0-5mm, 0-15mm, and 0-25mm. In addition, there are many other standard options that include, shock absorbers, end lock, axial piping, and buffer.
We are pleased to introduce the improved MXH-Z Series compact slide table. This new model incorporates a highly rigid linear guide, which generates increased allowable momentum of up to 240% and makes it suitable for use in applications where the workpiece is a long distance away. Flexible and lightweight, the MXH-Z Series is available in bores from 6 to 20mm with the ability to be mounted in four directions and piped in three directions.Extremely accurate, due to its high travelling parallelism, the slide table is particularly useful in applications involving transport and positioning and in limited space applications like dispensers. The option to directly mount D-M9* round auto switches also reduces labour costs.
The MXF is a low profile slide table that utilizes a rigid guide that is mounted parallel to an air cylinder. The actuator is equipped with location holes for quick and easy mounting changes of tools or fixtures. The height of the MXF slide table is 54% to 67% less than the MXS series.
The MXP is ideal for applications that require high precision movement in short travel situations. The precision slide table has a machined guide with very tight tolerances that operates in conjunction with highly accurate recirculating ball bearings. This slide is capable of achieving parallelism within 0.02mm and non-rotation accuracy as low as 0.03 degrees. Two of the mounting surfaces allow work to be held to a tolerance +/-0.05mm plus the tolerance of the work piece. The slide contains two pistons that operate independently to supply the movement of the actuator.
The MXY series is a long-stroke type of the series MXP air slide table. The MXY comes with a built-in magnetically coupled rodless cylinder. Integrated with a linerar guide, the MXY provides a rigid, compact and lightweight design.
The MXW is a long stroke slide table designed for strokes up to 10 inches (300mm). Stroke adjustment is standard with optional shock absorbers. The rigid table makes the MXW ideal for precise transfer of loads.
New slide table offers total flexibility and real cost saving benefits. Following the success of our popular Series MXQ Air Slide Table, our R&D experts have developed this product even further with the launch of our new, completely reversible, Series MXQR. Previously, customers ordering an MXQ had to specify, at the time of their order, the exact side they wanted the adjuster and piping to be located. This made any last minute changes to the design specifications difficult to accommodate, often resulting in delays or the need to hold duplicate stocks. However, with our new Series MXQR, this issue is now a thing of the past as this innovative range of slide tables is completely reversible – a standard version and a symmetrical version in just one product. Available in a range of bore sizes from 6mm to 25mm and with various cushion options, this air operated, double acting, slide table really does offer total flexibility and real cost saving benefits.
The solution for a linear-actuator subject to high loads. Ideal for material handling applications. Two basic models include a self-lubricating slide bushing and a linear ball bearing style. The 100mm slide bushing model can stop a load of 1300 Kg. traveling at 280 mm(sg, or smoothly lift a centered load of 450 Kg. with a 40% safety factor. The overall package is very compact, and pre-tapped mounting holes ensure easy attachment of fixtures. Mounts on side or bottom. The MGQ offers bore sizes from 12 to 100mm and is switch capable.
The MGZ series is a non-lube double power air cylinder available in both rotating and non-rotating styles. The MGZ's unique design doubles the pressurized area for extension making the MGZ an ideal cylinder for lifting and pressing operations. The front end lock style MGZ holds the rod when extended.
At SMC we are always innovating and our latest guided cylinder the MGPW is no exception. This new wide guided cylinder has been designed to handle large work pieces and has enhanced plate rotation torque that is three times larger than the standard MGP Series and has improved non-rotating accuracy of the plate. Although similar in weight to the MGP, the MGPW has 170% more volume by using anodised aluminium and optimising the dimensions of various components. Easy to set-up and mount, therefore reducing labour costs, the MGPW can be used with two colour D-M9*W indication solid state auto switches or alternative round auto switches which can be fitted directly onto the cylinder. Ideal for the transfer of large work pieces and those with eccentric loads, the MGPW has three types of bearing and mounting options as standard and can manage several applications, such as lifting and pushing.
Series MGF guide tables are low profile, compact cylinders which utilize a large concentric guiding sleeve to provide excellent eccentric load resistance. Mounting is possible from 2 directions. A built-in non-rotating mechanism prevents rotation of the table top. T-slots are provided on 3 faces of the MGF body (except port face), allowing mounting of various brackets. Optional auto switches can be mounted on 4 faces of the body.
The CXT is designed for short stroke (up to 300mm) and high load applications. The cylinder utilizes a slide body, which incorporates large guide rods that allow greater load capability when compared to competitive slides. The CXT is equipped with optional shock absorbers or stroke adjustment. A choice of ball bushing bearing or carbon steel alloy slide bearing is available for applications that require smooth actuation or impact loading, respectively. The power source is supplied by a CQS cylinder, which is attached via a flexible coupling.
The series MGG guided cylinder is ideally suited for material handling applications involving stopping, lifting, and pushing. It combines the functions of a conventional cylinder, linear motion guide, and non-rotation device. Features include built-in shock absorbers, finite stroke adjustment, bumpers, and switch capability. Other features include: Slide or ball bushing bearings available, built-in shock absorbers and stroke adjustments, high degree of non-rotating accuracy, and high load capabilities.
The MGC guide cylinder is ideal for material handling applications involving stopping, lifting, and pushing. It combines the functions of a conventional linear cylinder, and a non-rotation device. Features include standard air cushions, grease nipple, and switch capability. Other features include, slide or ball bushing bearings, compact design, adjustable air cushion, and lightweight guided actuator.
Series CXS is available in six bore sizes and stroke lengths up to 100mm. This series is very compact and has a very accurate non-rotating specification. It is suited for accurate pick-and-place applications or light duty material handling. The CXS can be used with either reed or solid state switches. Available in clean room versions.
Slide unit series CXW can absorb energy in a wide range, in high-speed, low-load applications to low- speed, high-load applications, without requiring adjustments. The slide unit can be mounted on the housing or on the plate, depending on the application. Slide bearing or ball bushing bearing is available. Auto switches can be installed.
CX2 slide units offer highly accurate positioning and smooth operation with large forces. Its compact design and low profile accommodate minimum space requirements to meet many design applications. CX2 units are available in three bore sizes and strokes from 25mm to 200mm. Through- holes in the housing provide for direct load mounting or fixed positioning of the body. Optional auto-switches may be mounted either directly to the body housing or on an end-plate supported rail.
The MTS cylinder provides superior non-rotating accuracy and linear stability in a compact package. Traditional non-rotating cylinders typically can only hold position to within 0.5° and have inherent sealing problems. Integrating a ball spline as the rod bearing, this cylinder approximates the non-rotational accuracy of a guided cylinder without the added space requirements of external guide rods. In addition, a special rod seal design limits leakage to the equivalent of a round piston rod seal. An optional end lock retains the rod in the retracted position even in the event of loss of air pressure for added safety. Mounting can be done from four precisely machined faces with parallelism of less than 0.1mm.
