SMC’s TU-TS-T-X309 series is carbon neutral: namely it releases the same amount of CO2 into the atmosphere during manufacture as is removed by various means, principally a change of material. The result is a zero balance, also known as a zero-carbon footprint. With SMC’s TS-X309 12 mm OD (9 mm ID) tubing, for example, users can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 18.7 kg for a 100 m roll compared with standard nylon tubing.

TU-X309 series polyurethane biomass tubing, for example, can operate at pressures up to 0.8 MPa at 20°C, while TS-X309 series soft nylon (nylon 11) biomass tubing is suitable for pressures up to 2.0 MPa at 20°C. If even higher operating pressure is necessary, the T-X309 nylon biomass tubing series offers up 3.3 MPa. All three series are available in outside diameters of 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm.
