EX260 compact serial interface unit is applicable to the SY3000/5000, SV1000/2000/3000, VQC1000/2000/4000 and S0700 series valves. The EX260 module is an output only SI unit that can be connected to any manifold designed for the EX250 series. Available protocols are PROFIBUS DP, DeviceNet and EtherCAT.
SMC has improved product performance and reliability with the redesigned SY series valve. The SY3000 and SY5000 have the same valve width as their predecessors, but the flow has been increased by up to 80%, allowing the valve size to be reduced. A built-in strainer in the pilot valve prevents trouble caused by foreign matter. By using H-NBR seal material for the main valve and seals, Ozone resistance has been improved. Side, top and bottom port/pipe directions are available to allow flexible installation. The SY is available in body ported or base mounted styles, and can be used individually or manifold mounted.

The EX140 serial interface unit controls up to 16 solenoid outputs, and is compatible with series SZ3000 and SQ1000/2000 valves. Available protocols include, but are not limited to DeviceNet, CC-Link, and OMRON.
The EX180 serial interface unit controls up to 32 solenoid outputs, and is compatible with series SJ2000/3000 valves. Available protocols include DeviceNet, and CC-Link.
EX250 is a serial interface unit controlling up to 32 solenoids. This serial interface is compatible with series VQC1000/2000/4000 and SV1000/2000/3000 valves. Available protocols include DeviceNet, CC-Link, AS-i, Profibus-DP, and CANopen. Input modules can be added or removed at the point of use.
Serial interface unit EX500 is capable of controlling up to 64 solenoids, and is compatible with SV1000/2000/3000/4000, VQC1000/2000/4000 valves. The EX500 makes it possible to connect up to 4 valve manifolds with up to 16 solenoids each. Available protocols include DeviceNet, CC-Link and Profibus-DP.
Model EX serial units offer low-cost, time saving solutions to your control system problems. Depending on the serial unit, control up to 32 solenoid valves and receive up to 32 inputs. Diagnostic and trouble shooting capabilities greatly reduce downtime. Compatible valve manifolds include (N)VFS/S, (N)VZS, VQ, VQC, SX, SY, SQ, SZ, SV and ISO.
The EX600 serial interface offers a full suite of diagnostics and programmable parameters to meet the most stringent requirements. Up to 1024 (512/512 I/O blocks) and 7 valve manifolds can be connected. The EX600 can be configured as a centralized or a de-centralized I/O system, or a combination of both. This serial interface is compatible with series SV1000/2000/3000, VQC1000/2000/4000 and S0700 valves. Available protocols include Profibus-DP, DeviceNet™, CC-Link, and EtherNet/IP™.
The 5 port solenoid valves series SQ was designed for applications which demand high speed, high frequency, long life and a precise response time. The SQ series has an outstanding response time of 12ms or less for SQ1000, 20ms or less for SQ2000 and a life of 200 million cycles. A wide variety of options are available.
The SV series employs a multi-connector instead of the conventional lead wires for internal manifold wiring. By connecting each block with a connector, changes to manifold stations are greatly simplified. Cassette base type manifolds offer the ultimate in flexibility. Manifold sections can be added using a simple release mechanism. Conventional tie-rod base type manifolds are also available. The use of 34 pin connectors allows up to 16 stations with double solenoids.
Series SY offers major advances in valve performance for cost-effective solutions to your requirements. The series offers high flow with low power consumption in a compact design. The SY is available in body ported or base mounted styles and can be used individually or manifold mounted.
The SYJ Valve is an innovative combination of space efficiency and performance superiority which provides real value to the design solution. Whether designed in a manifold or used as a single valve, this small profile increases design flexibility and minimizes space requirements. The SYJ valve utilizes a low power (0.5 watts standard) pilot solenoid design, which dramatically reduces thermal heat generation. This improves performance, decreases operating costs, and allows for direct control by PLC output relays. All electrical connections for SYJ Valves are available with lights and surge suppression. SYJ series valves can be configured on base mounted manifolds, or individually on subplates, creating a variety of solutions to meet your broadest engineering needs.
VQ valves are ideal for applications requiring high speed, frequent operation, stable response time and long service life. Innovative mounting methods allow valves to be changed without entirely disassembling the manifold. Built-in one-touch fittings save piping time and labor.
The VQC series has five standard wiring packages bringing a world of ease to wiring and maintenance work, while the protective enclosures of three of them conform to IP67 standards for protection from dust and moisture. The use of multi-pin connectors to replace wiring inside manifold blocks provides flexibility when adding stations or changing manifold configuration. The VQC series has outstanding response times and long life.
Series VQZ base mount solenoid valves combine convenience with durability and performance in a more traditional mounting style. Series VQZ Body Ported Solenoid Valves combine flexibility with high performance and long life in an inline body style.
Following Electronic and Semiconductor Industry requests for a compact manifold unit with integral 3-port solenoid valves, we are pleased to launch our new Series VV100 Integrated Manifold Unit. Designed with space-saving and ease-of-use in mind, our R&D engineers have cleverly integrated two single 3-port solenoid valves into each valve station thereby reducing the unit's overall dimension. By adopting this unique feature, VV100 manifold units can now be built up to 146.4mm in length by simply changing the length of the manifold's tie rod and by adding or removing the number of plug-in (D-sub connector) or hard wired valve stations. Energy saving has also been considered as individual valves can be ordered with a power saving circuit, reducing the energy consumption from 0.4W as standard; to only 0.15W when using the continuous duty model. And as each valve can be manually turned off, safe maintenance is guaranteed. Series VV100 is suitable for both direct or bracket mounting and can also accommodate various piping sizes including our miniature 2mm one-touch fittings.
