Séamus Dunne | Actuator Section Technical Manager, SMC European Technical Centre

Séamus left Ireland in 2002 to join the SMC European Technical Centre, UK, as a mechanical Engineering graduate. In the years since, SMC has satisfied his thirst for engineering across many automation industries. From bottle filling, to car assembly, to contact lense manufacture, Séamus’ eyes have been opened to the multitude of fascinating ways SMC customers like to use our products. 20 years later, and now the Manager of the team that he started out in, he is busy sharing this knowledge with the next generation of SMC graduates, and not embarrassed to say, learning a thing or two from them about advances in engineering now being taught in universities. Away from work, if not chasing a 10K personal best, he is likely to be found coaching his son’s football team.
