Air Silencers and Exhaust Cleaners

Series AN silencers offer various styles and low backpressure in a compact, easy mounting design. The high noise reduction style provides over 35dB(A) noise reduction and the case is UL94-V0 grade, flame resistant material. Series AN is available with R(PT) or NPT threads.

Series 25 is a metal case style silencer with a shock resistant construction. The series exhausts in only one direction and prevents scattering of mist and noise. Series 25 is available with R(PT) or NPT threads.

The high noise reduction style silencer ANA1 keeps the noise level inside a plant below 85dB(A) with a noise reduction effect of 40dB(A). Series ANB1 has a noise reduction effect of 38dB(A) and has a larger effective area with the same port size as series ANA1. It is also available for common exhaust from manifolds.

Process Industry and PET machine builder's requests for both 2 and 3 port, pilot operated, solenoid valves, with high pressure performance are now answered with the launch of SMC's latest Series VCH range.Designed for use with air or inert gas, these new valves can operate up to a maximum pressure of 5.0 MPa thereby substantially exceeding SMC's existing VXH high pressure series. With large flow passages, and ISO1179-1 conforming port thread sizes of G1/2 to G1, high flow rates are ensured and due to a reduction in the overall volume of the pilot chamber their responsiveness can now only be measured in milliseconds.Additionally, the VCH range offers enclosure protection equivalent to IP65 and a DIN type electrical connector as standard and due to its unique collision-less armature construction, with rubber buffers and urethane diaphragm, early indications have confirmed that the valves operation life time will exceed 10 million cycles.Currently the VCH Series is available in four different valve configurations; 2 port valve normally closed - VCH41, 2 port valve normally open - VCH 42, our 3 port option - VCH410, plus a check valve – VCHC40.

Series AMC exhaust cleaners insure clean plant air and reduce noise pollution over 35dB. The AMC series also removes over 99.9% of oil mist. Choose from R(PT), NPT or G(PF) thread styles.

Exhaust cleaner, series AMP, can be used inside a clean room. Depending on operating conditions, exhaust air cleanliness may be equivalent to Class 100. Since exhaust air from pneumatic equipment can be released directly into a clean room, piping to ducts is unnecessary thereby reducing piping labor costs and increasing space savings.
