SMC Is The Perfect Component to Drive Exhibitors To Tire 2017

TIRE TECHNOLOGY EXPO 2017 14 - 16 February 2017 Hanover Hall 2, Stand 5088 SMC, a global leader in pneumatic and electrical automation technology, will be showcasing its range of products for the Tire industry, focusing on energy efficiency, machine safety and Industry 4.0, at this year’s Tire Technology Expo.

The annual event takes place in Messe Hannover from 14-16 February and has built a reputation for attracting leading tire suppliers and manufacturers from around the world.

From its stand 5088 in Hall 2, SMC will be highlighting its customised solutions that meet the increasing challenges facing the sector, including the need to provide flexible production, predictive maintenance and minimise machine stoppages. Being a global player, SMC offers customers a one-stop-shop for all their process and application needs.

As part of the exhibition, SMC will also be hosting a lecture on the ‘Impact of automation technologies in the production process on the tire manufacturing plant of the future’ on 15 February from 4.30pm in the Business Strategy Conference area.

A spokesperson from SMC said: “We are delighted to be exhibiting at Tire 2017, which is one of the biggest and best exhibitions of its kind. Visitors to our stand will be able to discover more about our range of products widely used across all tire manufacturing processes. We will be featuring the latest technologies, such as our serial interface components, with integrated monitoring capabilities, that help production processes run more efficiently.”

Among the components on display will be SMC’s popular LEY electric actuator that moves to multiple positions or sensitive force mode, reducing assembly work and operating costs.

There are three options: basic, symmetrical and in-line motor types. Similarly, customers can choose from two motors, either a DC step motor, which is ideal for the transfer of high loads at a low speed with pushing operations, or a DC servo motor, which offers stability at high speeds and is suitable for silent operations.

Another highlight will be SMC’s Series EX600 serial interface unit that comes with an integrated web server, in addition to IO Link Master and various bus systems for remote access, diagnosis and predictive maintenance. This highly robust system guarantees a long service life and delivers extreme precision, speed and flexibility all leading to improved energy efficiency.

The spokesperson from SMC added: “We are committed to working in partnership with our customers to optimise machine safety and have developed state of the art safety components that can help achieve ISO 13849.”

Visitors to SMC’s stand in Hall 2 will be welcomed by a team of experts who will be on hand to offer professional advice and support.
