Industrial applications requiring a 2 port solenoid valve now have an enhanced option following the release of our new, improved VX2 Valve Series. Developed as a part of our on-going product improvement programme, the new Series VX2, which is suitable for air, medium vacuum, water or oil, now offers considerable performance advantages when compared to our previous VX21 solenoid valve model. With its modern urban white outer appearance, Series VX2 is around 10% smaller and 30% lighter compared to our old Series VX21 valve due in part to its resin and aluminium body construction, yet it still delivers around 20% increased flow rate performance. Incorporating a rubber bumper to reduce valve noise during operation and featuring one touch fitting for speed of installation, Series VX2 offers improved durability and reduced apparent power – up to 20VA.
Our updated pilot operated 2 port solenoid valve, VXD Series, is 7% smaller than former conventional models, whilst still delivering big benefits to customers. The renewed VXD Series supports our commitment to developing new innovations to drive energy savings for customers; it's not only more compact, but uses less power. Ideal for air, water, oil, heated water and high temperature oil applications, ranging from car wash centres to oil lines in process industries, the VXD Series is available in a wide range of body materials – aluminium, resin, brass and stainless steel – and offers low concentration ozone resistant and oil free options. Labour savings can also be enjoyed, as the air version with resin body offers a built-in one-touch fitting option. Other features include a rubber buffer that reduces the valve's operating noise levels and thanks to a special construction, its life-span has been extended. It also has an improved OFF response when operated with high viscosity fluids such as oil.
At SMC we are proud to unveil our upgraded multi-purpose VXZ series 2 port solenoid valve. Pilot operated, the VXZ has zero differential pressure so it can handle both low pressure fluids and low vacuum and because it doesn't rely on compressed air to operate, it's simple to install. Up to 27% lighter and 4% smaller than conventional models, the VXZ is ideal for lightweight machines and narrow spaces. And a rubber buffer means the series is suitable for quiet environments, with an extended service life guarantee thanks to its improved construction, which is all part of our commitment to refine the performance and functionality of our products and drive competitive advantages for our customers. Available in low concentration ozone resistant and oil free options, the VXZ series comes in a wide range of body materials, with piping thread variations ¼" to 1" and one-touch fitting from Ø10 to Ø12. Together with normally closed or normally open valve types and an improved OFF response, the VXZ is ideal for handling air, water, oil, heated water and high temperature oil for cooling systems, segmentation of pneumatic lines and exhaust valve in vacuum lines.
Life is 'hotting' up at SMC as we reveal our upgraded fluid control valve, VXS Series, which is designed to work with steam and heated water. This zero differential pressure type requires no fluid pressure to operate the valve and has minimal air leakage, improving the operational reliability of the VXS Series. With an extended service life, the VXS can perform 3 million cycles and has an improved scraper function that minimises the number of foreign particles entering the valve, improving its resistance to contamination. Consuming less power, this latest edition is environmentally friendly to operate and is quieter thanks to a rubber buffer. Available in either brass or stainless steel, with piping thread variations of 1/4" to 1", a class H solenoid type and an oil free option, the VXS is suitable for a range of applications including sterilisation, heating and pressing processes within various sectors.
The VN series is a combination of process valves that can be operated with pressure differential zero and comes with many variations. The VND series is for steam control.
