SMC goes virtual at world’s largest WeAreCOBOTS Expo & Conference
SMC is set to showcase its robotics’ solutions at the world’s largest virtual collaborative WeAreCOBOTS Expo & Conference from 16 – 18 June 2020.
In the new era of Covid-19, SMC is discovering innovative ways of reaching its customers and has confirmed it will be a key exhibitor at the world’s largest virtual WeAreCOBOTS Expo & Conference.
The event for EMEA region follows the success of the first Cobot virtual exhibition held in Germany during April where more than 2,000 ‘visitors’ attended.
Registration is now open for the interactive WeAreCOBOTS experience taking place from 16 to 18 June, which will be broadcast in English, with additional information available in German, Spanish, Italian and French.
SMC will be showcasing its comprehensive range of innovative component solutions for robotics machinery, including MHM magnetic gripper, JMHZ pneumatic gripper and ZHP vacuum unit. SMC’s Global Cobot Project Leader, Andreas Czezatke, explains: “The global pandemic has seen all of us recognise the power of technology – not just on our factory floors but also how we communicate with each other.
“We are excited to be part of this virtual, immersive Robots Expo, the largest of its kind in the world and to have the opportunity to showcase our solutions for cobots and beyond.
“The pandemic has led to many supply chain issues for business, but at SMC we have been able to maintain our fast and reliable delivery standards due to the wide range of components we manufacture and stock in Europe. We aim to bring this theme of ‘From Us To You’ alive with a fully immersive and interactive experience.”
During the three day event, SMC will hold daily live demonstrations at 11am, 1pm and 3pm, with experts on hand for a live chat and to take any questions about collaborative robot technology.
Also joining the SMC team for Q&A sessions is leading robotics consultant Christoph Ryll, who specalises in industrial robotics and has published papers on the future of production where humans and machines work together efficiently and safely.
Andreas added: “We are delighted to have someone of Christoph Ryll’s experience and expertise join us. He will be on hand to address any issues in the field of Cobots, which can also be facilitated in a private chat room for data sensitive conversations.”
