However, to allow time to adjust to the new requirements, the government has allowed businesses to use transitional measures, which SMC will follow.
From January 1st 2022, or before, SMC will include the UKCA mark on the accompanying documentation which will also include guidance on where to source the appropriate UKCA Declaration of Conformity and Instruction Manual.
From January 1st 2023, or before, SMC will affix the UKCA mark to the product or the packaging if the product is deemed too small.
