Low Speed

Low friction characteristics are improved with the use of the CQ2X low speed cylinder series. Minimum operating pressure is cut in half, compared to previous series, while achieving stable thrust. All microspeed cylinders have the same dimensions as the standard cylinders.

The CQSX series is a microspeed cylinder that allows low speed transfer of work pieces that cannot tolerate shock. CQSX is capable of smooth starts with minimal lurching even after long periods of no operation. All models have the same dimensions as the standard cylinders.

The CUX series low speed type free mount cylinder saves space and allows direct and precise mounting. It is available in 10mm to 32mm bore sizes with stroke lengths up to 50mm. Specifications include, double acting single rod, non-lube type cylinder, double side rubber bumpers and basic type mounting.

The CM2X series is a microspeed cylinder designed to minimize operating pressure while achieving stable thrust. The operating pressure is cut in half compared to previous series. All models have the same dimensions as the standard cylinders.

The CJ2X microspeed cylinder series operates smoothly with minimal stick-slip. This series achieves stable low speed operation even at 0.5 mm/s (1mm/s for ø16 or smaller). The average speed is obtained by dividing the stroke by the piston rod movement time. All models have the same dimensions as the standard cylinders.

One of the challenges often faced with automated work piece inspection is the need for both stable and low speed rotation. Engineers from SMC, the world leader in pneumatic technology, have long recognised this problem and have now answered this need with the addition of two new Series CRQ2X and MSQX.Designed to help complete SMC´s comprehensive rotary actuator ranges, the unique shaft type, Series CRQ2X, and the table type, Series MSQX share many of the same features as SMC´s popular CRQ2 and MSQ rotary actuator ranges.However with the addition of special constructional elements such as special surface treatment, slow speed grease and rubber cushion removal, these impressive rotary actuators can be adjusted to provide stable slow speed lurch free rotation as low as 5 seconds to complete a 90º turn.Currently both the CRQ2X and the MSQX can be ordered in sizes options from between 10 -50mm dependant on each applications technical requirements.
